From the Field to the Frame

I'm a photographer based in Sydney, shooting sports, travel, aerial, and film.
I grew up playing rugby union, and that's still where a lot of my instinct comes from — knowing where to look a split second before something happens, and being comfortable in the chaos of a live game. These days that same instinct shows up everywhere I shoot, not just on the field.
Travel is the other half of it. I'm happiest somewhere new, camera in hand, figuring out a place as I go. Sometimes that's a 35mm film camera and slow mornings, sometimes it's a drone overhead picking out shapes and colour you'd never notice from the ground.
I don't really have one "style" — a sprint at full pace, a boat-lined beach in Thailand, a pool cut into the rocks at Bondi. What ties it together is just paying attention and waiting for the shot that actually means something.
